Since math forms the basis for many other subjects - like science, engineering, and technology - it's essential that kids develop strong math skills starting in elementary school, as it makes them more likely to succeed in the more challenging middle and high school courses. Chapters vary as to what items are available.Find lessons for 5th grade math | TPT Importance of learning math in 5th grade There are games to practice fluency as well as varying tutorials for that lesson. Simply click on your child’s grade level and then scroll to the chapter your child is working on. Simply click on them and watch! These resources are an invaluable tool and can greatly assist your child with learning and practicing new skills. If they are “lit up” then they are available to use. ![]() Please note that they are NOT available for every single lesson. These tools are very specific to the lesson. The middle one is Animated Math Models, and the one on the right is called itools. The one on the left is called Destination Math. Simply go to the chapter via Table of Contents and click on the specific chapter and lesson. The Standards Practice book is where homework sheets may be found. Students may look in here to see how the lesson was taught. The student edition is the book they are using in the classroom. Your screen may look different as the books and learning videos differ according to grade level. “My Library” is where you will find resources to help your child with their homework if they were confused with the lesson or if they need a bit more practice in learning the new skill. “My Test Scores” will only have information there if your teacher decides to have students complete a test in the computer lab. If there is, simply click on the assignment to complete it. “Things to Do” may have assignments for specific videos or practice for your child. Next, you will see the following screen with a few options: Password (retrieved from teacher - 5 digits long) Username (retrieved from classroom teacher) Select the following for the screen below:
